The Eternal Vow: A Profession of Faith
The Inviolable Covenant
A genuine profession of faith is not a mere statement of belief, but an eternal covenant with the Most High God. It is a commitment that supersedes all human laws and earthly promises. This declaration signifies a transfer of loyalty from the kingdoms of the world to the Kingdom of Christ, accepting His sacrifice as the full payment for sin and His Law as the ultimate standard for living. The following decree represents the solemn, unbreakable vow made before God and the heavenly host upon conversion.
// ANCIENT DECREE: THE PROFESSION OF THE NEW COVENANT //
I. THE ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF TRUTH:
I HEREBY DECLARE and attest that I am a sinner, defiled by transgression against the HOLY LAW, and am justly condemned. I confess that salvation is not found in the works of my own hands, nor in the traditions of men, but solely in the perfect sacrifice of JESUS CHRIST, the SON OF GOD.
II. THE RECEIPT OF THE ETERNAL SEAL:
I DO RECEIVE and accept the ATONEMENT made upon the Cross of Calvary. I renounce all claim to my former life and submit my will entirely to the LORDSHIP of Christ. I call upon the HOLY SPIRIT to indwell me now, to serve as the divine SEAL and the GUARANTEE of my inheritance until the Day of Redemption.
III. THE VOW OF PERSEVERANCE AND LAW:
I VOW TO ABIDE in the truth of the Gospel, to cleave to the doctrines of the Apostles, and to continually strive to **PUT AWAY ALL SIN**. I accept the eternal and holy **LAW OF GOD** as the spiritual guide for my life, which I will now pursue by the power of the indwelling Spirit. I will walk in the light and await the glorious **RETURN OF THE LORD**.
LET IT BE KNOWN: This vow is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. This covenant is inviolable.
