“Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” — Acts 1:11

Subject: The Certainty of the Second Advent
The Testimony of the Times
The world currently staggers under the weight of its own hubris, wandering through a wilderness of digital mirrors and moral relativism. We see a generation that has exchanged the “blessed hope” for a hollowed-out “human progress,” ignoring the ancient landmarks of faith. The air is thick with the scent of apostasy, as even some within the gates of the professing church treat the return of the King as a metaphor rather than a literal, looming reality. Yet, for those with eyes to see, the increasing darkness only serves to sharpen the brilliance of the approaching Dawn. The signs are not merely suggestions; they are the birth pangs of a new creation, signaling that the lease on this present evil world is rapidly expiring.
The Scriptural Exhibit
The foundation of our expectation is not found in the shifting sands of human speculation, but in the unshakeable Word of the Living God. The King James Bible declares with absolute authority that our Redeemer shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. We rest our case upon the promise of the Savior Himself: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:3). Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, reinforces this forensic certainty, noting that “the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God” (1 Thessalonians 4:16). There is no ambiguity here; the decree has been signed in the blood of the Covenant.
The Forensic Analysis
When we examine the evidence of the “Great Falling Away” alongside the prophetic timeline, the internal consistency is undeniable. The scoffers of the last days, walking after their own lusts and asking, “Where is the promise of his coming?” are themselves a fulfillment of the very prophecies they seek to undermine. We observe a global convergence of political, technological, and spiritual forces that align perfectly with the “perilous times” described by the Spirit. To dismiss these developments as mere coincidence is to ignore the weight of the testimony. The legal requirement for “the fullness of the Gentiles” to come in is reaching its zenith, and the divine court is preparing to convene.
The Verdict
The evidence is overwhelming and the conclusion inescapable: the King is not merely a historical figure to be remembered, but a reigning Sovereign who is returning to claim His inheritance. We must not be found slumbering at the watch, nor distracted by the trifles of a world that is passing away. Our duty is to occupy until He comes, standing as witnesses to the truth in an age of lies. The case is closed, the judgment is set, and the King’s heralds are already sounding the alarm.
