Who Was Jahleel?

As the third son of Zebulun, Jahleel became the father of the Jahleelites. His name is etched into the “Scriptural Exhibit” of those who went down into Egypt with Jacob, and his descendants were later numbered in the plains of Moab. Jahleel represents the preservation of the promise through the long years of Egyptian bondage and the wandering of the wilderness. He was a pillar of his tribe, ensuring that the branch of Zebulun remained strong and distinct.

“And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.” (Genesis 46:14)
