The Two Times: Why Prophecy is Measured by Season, Not Just Seconds

ฯฯoหฮฝoฯ refers to quantitative, sequential time. It is the measurement of durationโthe time that passes on a calendar, the number of days, weeks, or years. When the New Testament speaks of a “long time” or a “certain space of time,” it almost always uses chronos.

The prophetic key, however, lies in the second word: ฮบฮฑฮนฯoหฯ (kairos).
ฮบฮฑฮนฯoหฯ does not refer to the length of time, but to the qualitative nature of the moment. It means the appointed season, the opportune moment, or the right timeโa moment charged with significance.
