Prophecy Exodus Reference Fulfillment New Testament Reference
The Deliverance of Israel Exodus 3:7-8 God promises Moses that He will rescue the Israelites from bondage and bring them to the Promised Land. This is fulfilled in the Exodus event. Acts 7:34-36, Hebrews 11:29
The Hardening of Pharaoh’s Heart Exodus 4:21 God foretells to Moses that Pharaoh will refuse to let the people go, which will demonstrate God’s power through the plagues. Romans 9:17-18
The Prophecy of the Plagues Exodus 7:17 Before each plague, Moses and Aaron prophesy what will happen, showing that God is the one in control. (Historical Fulfillment in Exodus 7-12)
Arrival at Mount Sinai Exodus 3:12 God promises Moses that after leading the people out of Egypt, they will worship God on that very mountain. (Historical Fulfillment in Exodus 19)

The Water from the Rock Exodus 17:6 The rock that Moses struck to bring forth water to quench Israel’s thirst is a prophetic type of Jesus, the “spiritual Rock” who provides spiritual living water for all who are thirsty. 1 Corinthians 10:4, John 4:10-14, 7:37-38
