The Created Order

The rising tide of modern ideology seeks to wash away the ancient landmarks of our identity, yet the foundation of God standeth sure. From the very dawn of time, the Architect of the universe established a binary reality that is both biological and spiritual, as it is written, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them” (Genesis 1:27). This was not a suggestion of social construct nor a fluid spectrum of human desire, but a sovereign decree of the Almighty. To suggest that one’s internal feelings can override the physical testimony of the Creator is to challenge the wisdom of the Potter who formed the clay. We must remember that we are not our own, but are bought with a price, and thus we are commanded to “glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20).

The confusion of the present age is not merely a cultural shift but a theological rebellion against the divine design. When the distinctions between man and woman are blurred, the very reflection of God’s image in humanity is obscured. The Scriptures provide a clear warning against the mingling of these identities, stating, “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God” (Deuteronomy 22:5). This firm stance is not rooted in malice, but in a profound admiration for the order God has set. Every cell in the human body cries out the truth of its origin, and to deny this is to reject the handiwork of Him who “hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth” (Acts 17:26). We find peace not in the transition of our forms, but in the transformation of our minds through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ultimately, our true identity is found in Christ, not in the fluctuating passions of the flesh. The world promises liberation through self-invention, but true freedom is found in joyful submission to the One who knew us before we were formed in the womb. As the days grow darker and the pressure to conform to the world’s image increases, the faithful must stand as witnesses to the unchanging truth of the Word. We look forward to the day when all confusion shall flee and we shall see Him as He is. Until then, we rest in the knowledge that His design is perfect, and His grace is sufficient to lead the weary home to the truth of who they were always meant to be in Him.
