Why “All Roads” Lead to Destruction
The world loves the idea of the “Brotherhood of Man” under the “Fatherhood of God.” It sounds peaceful, inclusive, and loving. However, the King James Bible makes a sharp, surgical distinction between God as Creator and God as Father. While God is the Creator of all, He is only the Father of those who are in Christ Jesus.
Creator vs. Father
The Bible never suggests that physical birth grants spiritual sonship. In fact, when the religious leaders of Jesus’ day claimed God as their Father while rejecting the Truth, the Lord’s response was terrifyingly clear:
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.” (John 8:44, KJV)
If the “Universal Fatherhood” doctrine were true, Jesus could never have uttered those words. The Scripture teaches that we are born as “children of wrath” (Ephesians 2:3) and must be adopted into the family of God through faith.
The Exclusion of the Gospel
The danger of this false doctrine is that it makes the Great Commission unnecessary. If everyone is already a “child of God,” then why bother with the “narrow way”? This doctrine directly assaults the exclusivity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6, KJV)
By teaching that God is the Father of the Buddhist, the Hindu, the Muslim, and the Atheist alike, “Universal Fatherhood” removes the need for repentance and the necessity of the Blood of the Lamb. It is a doctrine of “Peace, peace; when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14).
The Foundation for the Antichrist’s Global Church
The coming “Global Religion of Self” requires a unifying principle that allows all faiths to merge without anyone having to admit they were wrong. “Universal Fatherhood” is that principle. It allows the Antichrist to present himself as the “Elder Brother” of the human race, uniting “God’s children” under a banner of false unity.
The Bible warns that the end times will be characterized by a “falling away” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Part of this apostasy is the move away from the “Narrow Way” and onto the “Broad Way” where all beliefs are equal and everyone is “divine.”
The Theological Verdict
To accept the Universal Fatherhood of God is to reject the Gospel of Adoption. We are not born into God’s family; we are born again into it. Sonship is a privilege granted only to those who receive the Word of God:
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:12, KJV)
Unless a man is in Christ, God is his Judge, not his Father. To preach otherwise is to lull a lost world into a sleep from which they may never wake.
