While the transhumanists and the “Architects of Babel” are trying to use technology to live forever in these old, decaying bodies, God has an “Upgrade” planned that defies every law of physics we know.
1. Speed and Power without Weariness
In the “Defence of the Truth,” we know that our current bodies are “sown in weakness.” But the scriptures promise they will be “raised in power” (1 Corinthians 15:43, KJV).
After His resurrection, Jesus had a body that was flesh and bone—He ate fish and could be touched—yet He could pass through walls and move from one location to another in an instant. Imagine a life with no more exhaustion, no more “brain fog,” and no more physical limitations.
2. The End of the “Mystery of Iniquity” in Our Members
The most uplifting part of the Return isn’t just the change of scenery; it’s the change of us.
“For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” (1 Corinthians 15:53, KJV)
We will finally be free from the internal struggle with sin. The “pushback” we feel from the world—and from our own flesh—will be silenced forever. We will have a clarity of mind that makes the greatest philosophers of this world look like toddlers.
3. A New Earth with Ancient Joy
We aren’t going to a sterile, white room in the sky. We are coming back to a Restored Earth.
Think of the most beautiful place you’ve ever seen—a mountain sunrise, a hidden waterfall, or a perfect forest. Now, subtract the decay. Subtract the thorns, the predators, and the pollution. The Bible says we will build houses, plant vineyards, and actually enjoy the work of our hands without the curse of toil (Isaiah 65:21-22, KJV).
The Interesting Twist: The “Return” of the Senses
The Bible hints that our senses in the Kingdom will be heightened. We will hear “new songs,” see colors we can’t currently perceive, and eat from the “Tree of Life” which yields twelve kinds of fruit. This is the Divine Counterfeit to the “Virtual Reality” the world is trying to build. God isn’t giving us a digital simulation; He’s giving us the Real Thing.
